Office 365
Using Office 365 is the most straightforward approach to begin using Excel.
The installation and download of Office 365 are not necessary. It just uses your browser to function.
We will be using Office 365 in this tutorial; it can be accessed at www.office.com.
Install
After successfully logging into Office via www.office.com, open the application by clicking the Excel icon on the left:
To begin working with a new workbook, click the New blank workbook button after opening the Excel application.
After naming your workbook, press the enter key:
The Excel view is structured like a squared math practice book, with columns and rows.
If the functionality seems overwhelming at first, don’t worry. As you continue to learn in the upcoming chapters, you will become more at ease.
At this moment, pay attention to the cells, rows, and columns.
Alright. Create a function, please!
- First, double click the cell A1, the one that is marked with the green rectangle in the picture.
- Second, type =1+1.
- Third, hit the enter button:
Best wishes! You’ve put 1+1=2 as your first function.
