Highlight Cell Rule Example
When the cell value is equal to the value you specify, the “Equal To…” Highlight Cell Rule will highlight a cell with one of the appearance options.
A specific word or number could be the provided value.
“48” will be the designated value in this example.
Any range can be selected as the one to which the Highlight Cell Rule should be applied. It could consist of a few cells, one row, one column, or a mix of several rows, columns, and cells.
Now let’s apply the rule to each and every stat value.
“Equal To…” Emphasize Cell Rule, sequentially:
- Select the range C2:H8 for all of the stat values
2. Click on the Conditional Formatting iconĀ in the ribbon, from Home menu
3. Select Highlight Cell Rules from the drop-down menu
4. Select Equal To… from the menu
This will open a dialog box where you can specify the value and the appearance option.
5. Enter 48 into the input field
6. Select the appearance option “Yellow Fill with Dark Yellow Text” from the dropdown menu
Now, the cells with values equal to “48” will be highlighted in yellow:
Since every stat value for Ditto is 48, they are all highlighted.
Note: Manage Rules allows you to remove the Highlight Cell Rules.
